Job Description / Duties

The University of Notre Dame seeks a dynamic singing artist and teacher for a full-time faculty appointment (treble voice preferred) in the Department of Music, beginning July 2025. Depending on qualifications and experience, the candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant Professor (tenure-track) or Assistant Professor of the Practice (non-tenure-track). The ideal candidate will be an accomplished performer and pedagogue, with a developing national or international profile. The Department is especially interested in candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching Western Classical singing, experience with teaching diverse repertoire and styles, including Musical Theatre and CCM singing, and knowledge of current voice science and pedagogy research.

Additionally, they will teach elective courses which may include voice pedagogy, vocal literature, and/or lyric theatre.
