Job Description / Duties

Active, vibrant, Open and Affirming, United Church of Christ (Congregational) congregation in downtown Concord seeks part-time Music Director (approximately 12 hours/week) who will help us worship God through a music program that incorporates a variety of musical styles including traditional choral, spirituals, gospel and jazz. The music director will also nurture and encourage the variety of musical gifts from within the congregation, and ensure that the music will reflect the high standards and diverse tastes of the choir, congregation, and clergy.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to working with clergy team to develop worship plans, directing choir rehearsals; leading the choir during Sunday 10 am worship; supervising the organist/accompanist and bell choir director and helping to coordinate an integrated overall music ministry; and overseeing the organization and filing of all music in the library. Choral directing experience required.

Salary: $13,500-15,500
