Bio: Travis Sherwood serves as Assistant Professor of Voice and Vocal Area Coordinator on the faculty of San Diego State University. His students have been accepted to leading graduate programs as well as won regional and district competitions. Dr. Sherwood is an active performer on the operatic, concert, and recital stages. Offstage, Dr. Sherwood frequently lectures and presents on the subjects of student-centered pedagogy, artistic literacy, voice pedagogy, and vocal literature. In 2022, Dr. Sherwood received an Emerging Leaders award from the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Dr. Sherwood holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and a Master of Music degree from the University of Southern California, Thornton School of Music; and a Bachelor of Music Degree from Westminster Choir College in music education and vocal performance. Additional studies include a certificate from the “Académie Internationale d’Eté de Nice” in “Interprétation chant & piano” under the instruction of Dalton Baldwin. https://travissherwoodbaritone.com/
