Bio: Find YOUR voice & Find your range--two key things that anyone who has the desire to express themselves through singing must do. I work with all people, age 13-Adult, teaching the basics of core breath support, good posture, open throat, lifted soft pallet and masque placement. I am a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and have performed with Chicago Lyric Opera, New York City Opera, L'Opera de Nice and many other regional companies in the U.S. I also have done extensive work in Musical Theatre and use Broadway songs from the '20's through the '60's as a basis for my young singers. I am currently on the Music Theatre Faculty at the University of Utah and teach MTP and Acting majors, and an adjunct professor for the Opera Program at Utah Valley University. I previously taught at Monmouth University for 5 years and at the New York State Summer School of the Arts at SUNY Fredonia, The Wharton Performing Arts Institute in Berkeley Heights for 10 years and have done workshops at college's and high schools in NY, NJ, MN, UT and CA. I also have a private voice studio in my home, and I teach in person, with COVID precautions in place OR via ZOOM. I have extensive experience preparing students for college level entrance auditions. My students are graduates of Manhattan School of Music, NYU-Tisch school, Peabody Conservatory, Northwestern University, Ithaca University, BYU and many more top music and music theatre programs.
