Bio: Soprano Brooke Wahlstrom, a native of Minneapolis, received her Master of Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She enjoys singing a variety of styles from opera to musical theatre to song recital. Brooke has performed regularly in Minneapolis with notable companies such as The Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company, The Northstar Consort, Expressions Theatre, and Really Spicy Opera Company (RSO). Brooke toured with RSO performing the title role of Émilie in André-Modeste Grétry's 1781 comic opera Émilie ou la belle esclave in Paris. A finalist of the Concours Lyrique International Bell'Arte, Brooke was a recipient of an encouragement award and scholarship through the Fondation Bell’arte. Brooke is equivalently passionate about performing as well as teaching music. Brooke's goal is to create an atmosphere that encourages learning and curiosity while delivering a supportive, engaging, and educational session in which students leave class feeling more confident and equipped with the information they need to progress.
