Bio: Mrs. Totman is a multifaceted Teaching Artist that is at home in a variety of Musical and Theatrical styles. She is a recent transplant to Tampa and previously lived in New York city where she worked as a Teaching Artist. Mrs. Totman is a voice student of Susan Eicchorn Young and is trained in a variety of vocal styles including Opera, Pop Belt, Belt, Musical Theatre and Legit singing. She has also studied various acting techniques and is a proponent of the Meisner technique. Mrs. Totman believes that every child should have the gift of music in a relaxed and fun atmosphere and strives to make her studio and classroom a warm and inviting space. She is a proponent of Kodály. Mrs. Totman’s stage credits include Handel’s Messiah, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Suor Angelica, among many others. She is a graduate of The University of Texas, Arlington where she earned her Bachelor of Music, Vocal Performance and studied Piano and modern languages.
