Bio:

Nate Wilson is a lyric tenor, classically trained in the "Bel Canto" style at Bob Jones University where he studied church music, and voice performance. There he accumulated and performed a large repertoire of music, from both contemporary and traditional sacred music, German lieder, English art songs, as well as Arias in Italian, German, French, and Spanish.

He was selected to sing in the University's Concert Choir under the direction of Dr. Chris Gilliam, performing on campus as well as on tour across the U.S. During his Junior year he was asked to represent the University as one of four members of the music ministry team that would travel from state to state for several months to recruit talented musicians to enroll at the University.

He sang solos in the chapel service on campus, and in sacred music concerts before 10,000 people by his sophomore year. After getting married to his college sweetheart, Kristin Wilson, in 2007 he was given the opportunity to sing in a men's quartet making professional studio recordings for sacred music albums. Over the past 15 years Nathan has sung in multiple weddings, researched, planned, and executed music programs for recitals, concerts and worship events, and taught kids to sing and love music from Florida to Alaska. At present he lives in Daphne, Alabama with his wife and five children.

Something of note: Early in life, Nate was learning to play the trumpet and baritone in his elementary school band, when one day his music teacher had the students sing together. While he listened intently to the kids, the teacher took note of Nate's voice, and immediately stopped everything in front of everyone to compliment and encourage him to continue singing and developing his gift. This unique and slightly embarassing moment gave way to a spark, a longing for something special that only music was tailored to fill. To Nate, the core of this monumental experience is a teacher who will notice, listen, inspire, and instruct the musical spark within the child who wants to use their gifts.
