Bio:

Chris Harbeson-Borgelt (b. 1998) has been a sought after pianist, organist, and teacher in the Kentuckiana area for over a decade. He has performed with a number of the area’s top performing arts ensembles, including the University of Louisville Collegiate Chorale and Voces Novae. Recognized for his dynamic playing and strong collaborative abilities, he is frequently asked to perform both solo and collaboratively, including at the University of Louisville where is on staff as an accompanist. He also serves as music director and conductor with New Albany High School Theatre Arts and regularly accompanies local school choral concerts.

His New Albany-based teaching studio, Two Grand Studio, is continuing to flourish, offering the region’s highest-quality private instruction in piano, voice, and guitar. Boasting nearly one hundred students and counting, his students consistently receive top scores in competitions, acceptance into music school, and roles in professional theatre companies. He holds a BA in French and Music from the University of Louisville. His primary teachers have included Grace Baugh-Bennett, Dr. Christine Brown, and Jessica Dorman (piano), Annette McCulloch Corn and Dr. Katherine Calcamuggio Donner (voice), and Dr. Janet Hamilton (organ). He is currently a member of the National Association for Teachers of Singing (NATS), the American Guild of Organists (AGO), the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), and the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).
