Bio: Mezzo soprano Frances Pallozzi Wittmann maintains a private studio in Delmar, NY for students seriously pursuing the study of their voice. She taught at University at Albany for 26 years and while there, introduced the concept of cross-training the voice as she became more immersed in her own study in the functional training of the voice. She has a Master of Music in vocal performance and vocal pedagogy from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. She has extensive national performing experience in oratorio and opera and her credits include: Young Artist with both the Glimmerglass and Lake George Opera Companies; New York City Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Syracuse Opera, among others; concert and operatic appearances with Little Orchestra Society of NYC, and solo appearances throughout the country with various orchestras and choirs including Syracuse, Jacksonville, West Virginia and Albany Symphonies; Berkshire Bach Society and Albany Pro Musica. Ms. Wittmann is classically trained and has studied the teaching of CCM (Contemporary Commercial Music) with Robert Edwin and Jeanie LoVetrie. She is certified in Somatic Voicework tm the LoVetrie Method.
