Bio: Amy Susan Heard has her Masters in Music from the University of Montana with specializations in vocal performance and musical theater. She is an active professional vocalist and worship leader and she has won 2 Detroit Music Awards for a Christian Songwriter and Christian Vocalist. Amy's an extremely versatile singer and teaches classical as well as all other styles of vocal music (no rap or heavy metal, sorry, you're on your own there, lol). Miss Heard Has been featured in several short films and commercials (Michigan Mega Millions, Aco Hardware, etc) for her acting and her voice has been used in jingles and movie soundtracks. Amy has produced and recorded two full length CDs, one EP, and has been contacted to record numerous singles. She has been hired as a featured performer for summer stock theaters in Illinois and Montana in roles such as "Queen Aggravaine" in Once Upon A Mattress, "Mazie La Bird" in Seussical and "BJ" in Smoky Joe's Café and was hired as a guest performer at the Redford Theatre in Detroit in the role of "Princess Fiona" in Shrek. She also played "Mary Magdalene" for 2 years in a new musical, "Living Stations Of The Cross," now known as "the Cross & The Light." She has performed extensively as a singer/songwriter in Michigan as well as special performances in Chicago (Chick Singer Night at the Beat Kitchen) and Las Vegas (International Music Connexion) and has been contracted as a singer/dancer on a cruise ship in Maine and a Theme park in New York and Indiana. Finally, she has her own private studio and teaches at two other conservatories (Voice, piano, guitar) and has been hired as music Director and theatrical director as well as choreographer for numerous musicals in the past. Amy often encourages her students to write their own music and/or record in the studio.
