Bio: Julie Westbrook earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. She has sung professionally with Chicago Symphony Chorus, Grant Park Chorus, Opera Midwest and Hinsdale Opera Theater. For five years she sang with Music of the Baroque and recorded Brass and Choral Music for Christmastide with them. Ms. Westbrook was a District Winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Competition and a Semi-Finalist in the Luciano Pavarotti/Opera Company of Philadelphia Competition. For 10 years, Ms. Westbrook was the soprano soloist for High Holy Days at B'nai Torah Synagogue and Har Shalom Synagogue. She has been teaching voice and beginning piano for over twenty years and currently teaches at Dundee-Crown High School, Harry D. Jacobs High School, Hampshire High School, and in her home in Sleepy Hollow. She has recorded a CD called Lullabies and Songs for Children. Her YouTube channel is Julie Westbrook Vocal Studio and is devoted to her students performances.
