Accomplished voice teacher and singer with 11 years experience working in private instruction, music directing, and group classes; skilled jazz improviser, composer, and songwriter; certified in functional methodology of vocal pedagogy that aims to cultivate healthy voice production and individual, unique sound; proficient in piano and experienced with accompaniment; solid foundation in music theory; adaptable to different systems and styles of learning; active member of The National Association of Teachers of Singing New York City Chapter and The Voice Foundation; Steinway Educational Partner.
Elana is currently teaching in New York City's Washington Heights and working on a new musical project. She is certified in all 3 levels of Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method and frequently attends voice science, anatomy, physiology, and pedagogy courses and conferences. She is currently enrolled in Northwestern University's Prespeech Pathology program.
