Title: Voice Teacher, Vetter Cain Voice Studio
Bio: (she/her/hers) I have 25 years of experience teaching singers across the lifespan in opera, choral, musical theater and CCM styles. My work is supported by a passion for vocal health and voice pedagogy grounded in up-to-date research and evidence, and in an intentional process of empathetic listening and responding to the needs of the individual student. I use she/her/hers and respect how the student wishes to be addressed. I respond to the characteristics of the student's individual voice and what they want to do with it, not on preconceived gender stereotypes or categories. I hold a DMA in Vocal Performance from the University of Maryland, a Masters in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music and a BA from Yale University, and am an active professional concert and recital singer in the Washington, DC region.
