Welcome and thanks for looking me up. You can find out more about me at www.maggiheilweilvocalarts.com My studio is in my home in Newtown, CT. It is a large (24 x 25) room, with a Steinway Grand, piles of music and lots of mirrors. My goal is to help each student fulfill their potential and their singing goals. I teach a solid technique that will serve them in communicating all kinds of music -- from classical repertoire to musical theater style singing. I use concepts from the Alexander Technique and yoga to ensure a relaxed, energized and efficient use of the body in order to sing with the freedom that comes from using the breath properly with an open throat. I play piano and am able to accompany my students adequately.

My own extensive experience in performing opera, classical repertoire, oratorio, cabaret and music theater informs my teaching. I have been a voice teacher for over 35 years. It is my passion and my calling.
