Bio: After over a decade of running a busy private voice studio and six years as a voice specialist at an arts high school in Toronto, Suzanne Schaafsma has relocated to London, Ontario to found NewSong Academy. She has a passion for empowering vocalists in all genres to reach their goals by providing holistic, person-centred voice lessons grounded in the latest voice science and pedagogy research. Aside from holding a Master's of Vocal Pedagogy from the University of Toronto, Suzanne has completed two summers of professional development studying with the Contemporary Commercial Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University. She is passionate about creating community through the arts, and serves as a Private Teacher Liaison for the Ontario chapter of NATS.
