Bio: With over 25 years of professional experience, Jeanne O’Connor is uniquely qualified to help students sing the music they love with strength, freedom, flexibility, and style. In her native New York City, Jeanne has brought her singing to New York's Blue Note, Elaine's, the Rainbow Room, Smoke, and many other clubs. As a founding member of the String of Pearls jazz female vocal trio, Jeanne has appeared at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Alice Tully Hall, Town Hall, and festivals and concerts throughout the U.S. and abroad. She sings classical choral music with the Battenkill Chorale. Jeanne has studied voice, jazz theory, and sight singing with leading teachers in New York City, including Judy Niemack, Cornelius Reed, Harold Danko, Mark Soskin, and the late Anne Marie Moss. She has released one solo CD and two CDs with the String of Pearls vocal trio.
