Bio: Leah graduated from USU with a degree in vocal performance with University and Departmental Honors and been teaching in her private studio for more than 15 years. In addition to a dynamic studio, Leah leads an active performance career. She has played numerous roles in musical theatre and opera productions that include "The Sound of Music," "Die Zauberflöte," "Martha," "Beauty and the Beast," "Giulio Cesare," and "The Music Man," to name a few. She has also been a music/vocal coach in various community shows and soloed in several oratorio and concert masterworks, including performances of "The Phantom of the Opera," Handel's "The Messiah," Bach's "St. Matthew Passion" and Bach's "St. John Passion." As a NATS member, Leah continues research in vocal pedagogy and always seeks for new ideas to pass along to her students. Her studio offers students the opportunity to learn in a friendly atmosphere that encourages them to take risks and sing freely in multiple styles and genres. Students benefit from Leah’s knowledge of repertoire and diction in English, German, French, Italian, and Norwegian music, in addition to techniques she learned (and continues to learn) from working with renowned musicians from around the country.
