Bio:
Judith May trained at The Juilliard School, in New York City, where she earned both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Music. She performed extensively throughout the New York Metropolitan Area before returning to her native San Francisco.
Judith has been teaching voice for over three decades. She teaches a seamless, sustainable, connected technique full of power, lyric flexibility and free of breaks, while focusing on musicality, phrasing and interpretation. Judith successfully helps students Overcome Performance Anxiety and works with adults and children in all styles of music. Since returning to San Francisco Judith has been teaching, directing, composing, performing and recording – including 2 CD’s of original music. She is an Adjunct Professor of Voice, Individual and Ensemble Performance Coach, Overcoming Performance Anxiety and Songwriting in USF’s Performing Arts and Social Justice department. Complimentary to her music, Judith holds a Masters Degree in Somatic Psychology.
