Bio:

I teach a variety of vocal styles, including musical theater, pop and classical music. Lessons are designed to help you attain your true authentic voice while meeting your goals. I teach a healthy vocal technique so that everyone can continue singing well into their 80's & 90's. I am an experienced voice teacher, choir director, and children's musical director who has worked with children, teens, and adults of all ages to prepare vocalists for auditions whether it be for school musicals, community theater, or solo auditions. My students are active in their schools select choirs and musical theater programs, PMEA District, Regional and State choirs, as well as area community theater programs. At your first lesson we will explore where you are musically and then we will set your musical goals so that you can succeed as a musician. Your lessons will be fun, productive and will include information on vocal care, music theory, and various musical styles.

I hold a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance and a business minor from Eastern Kentucky University. I began singing in church at 5 years of age and have been singing in Church Choirs my entire life. I have volunteered throughout the Downingtown Community including the Music Parent Association Executive Board for four years first as secretary and then as Vice President as well as serving on the 2011 Tournament of Roses Committee. She was also a founding member of the Downingtown STEM Academy’s Home & School Association where she served as Vice President and President. Memberships include: National Association of Teacher of Singing (NATS); Greater Philadelphia Chapter of NATS, and the Voice Foundation, Philadelphia PA.
