Suzanne Grant

Bio: Suzanne Grant has been coaching vocals, music directing, teaching, composing, playing keyboards and performing in the Seattle area for over 30 years. She has been a Senior Faculty member at Seattle Children’s Theatre, music directed for music theatre summer camps, and was a Teaching Artist in private and public schools for many years. She has music directed for several professional theatres, including A Contemporary Theatre, the Seattle Repertory Theatre, Youtheatre Northwest, the Village Theatre, and Honolulu Theatre for Youth. As Music Director of Seattle Peace Theatre, she toured to Tashkent, Switzerland and Latvia, where her original compositions were part of collaborative shows written and performed by international casts of young people. She sang in the choir for the premiere performances of Leonard Bernstein's "Mass" and she has conducted and sung with the City Cantabile Choir and Seattle Peace Chorus. Her years with a punk rock band, “The Enemy,” were documented in five books and at the Experience Music Project. She is a member of the Music Teachers National Association, has been a Vocal Coach at Seattle Talent, has sung with Harmonia, City Cantabile and Seattle Peace Chorus and teaches piano and singing privately in her home studio. She has become a passionate advocate for trees. Her Seattle City Council appearance was noted on The Ellen Show after her singing went viral on social media.
