Bio:

Erin Chenard is a Maine-based lyric soprano. She is an active soloist, regularly performing throughout Maine. She has appeared with the Maine Pro Musica Orchestra, the Downeast Singers, the Calderwood Consort, Amethyst Ensemble, and is a founding member of the St. Mary Schola, a professional vocal ensemble specializing in the performance of Renaissance and Baroque music. Ms Chenard is a graduate of Westminster Choir College and the University of Southern Maine School of Music and holds a Master of Music degree with a focus in Voice Pedagogy and Performance. She has served on the faculty of the Bay Chamber Music School, Portland Conservatory of Music, as artist faculty at the University of Maine at Augusta.

Erin's teaching mission is to assist singers of all ages and abilities in developing healthy vocal technique for beautiful, dynamic singing, based on a clear understanding of the singing mechanism and grounded in practical musicianship skills. She believes in tailoring her approach to instruction based on ongoing assessment of the relative strengths and potential strengths for each individual student.
