Bio: I have worked for 30 years at the intersection of voice rehabilitation and vocal arts pedagogy, offering individual rehabilitation services, training teachers in health issues and advocacy, and publishing research on both neuroscience and societal trends in order to advance the field of voice work. My background includes years of touring and recording as a singer-songwriter; I’ve also directed a community chorus; earned an MFA in Theatre (CalArts); and was senior clinician for nearly 20 years as at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s Voice Clinic, Los Angeles, serving singers in genres from opera and rap to MT tours and international pop. I am certified by the Performing Arts Medicine Association, and the author of Everyday Voice Care: The Lifestyle Guide (Hal Leonard). I lecture and consult with teachers around the world, as well as offering local workshops for singers and actors on vocal wellness and healthy technique.
