Bio:

The Vocal Studio of Dr. Melanie Mitrano is located in Nutley, New Jersey, just 12 miles west of New York City. Hourly private lessons are scheduled on a weekly, or bi-monthly basis. A strong foundation in classical technique is developed, upon which students build a repertoire which includes various musical styles, including opera, art song, musical theater, and jazz. Repertoire is assigned in seven different languages: English, Italian, German, French, Spanish, Latin and Portuguese.

Students of Dr. Mitrano have gone on to become college music majors at prestigious institutions, and/or sing professionally in a variety of arenas. Other students study mainly for enjoyment, and participate in community choirs or stage productions. Only students ages 14 to adult will be considered for acceptance into the studio.
