Title: Singing Voice Specialist
Bio: I have been a Singing Voice Specialist for nearly thirty years. I work with individuals in all styles of music, including classical, musical theatre, jazz, country, pop, and RnB. As a Singing Voice Care Specialist I also work with injured voices, and help prepare professional singers for CD recordings. My sessions with students involve emphasis on posture, breathing, placement, overall body muscle memory, and energizing the body through core work. \n \nI put a great deal of emphasis on creating a secure and comfortable environment for my students. As a result, they are able to experiment with voice technique and develop a level of optimum performance, gaining confidence in their vocal ability. \n \nI have been the Director of The Canadian Voice Care Foundation since its inception in 1989. The Canadian Voice Care Foundation (CVCF) was incorporated as the only national organization specializing in public information and education regarding prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the human voice. \n \nThe task of the CVCF is to act as a multi-disciplinary, non-profit organization, working to further develop and improve communication between scientists and non-scientists and the creators and users of voice technology.
