Daniel Mobbs teaches at University of Portland and has spent 25 years researching/learning and performing Bel Canto repertoire all over the world. This workshop will explore the demands of this rep for each voice type and give tools as to how to help build technical and musical skill sets to master this genre.
He will work with two different voice types on properly warming up the voice and exercising the voice to be able to handle bel canto rep. Half of the workshop will be devoted to bel canto and extended breath control exercises , including warm-ups and half will be devoted to exploring repertoire in a master class style. Workshop will focus on legato, staccato, fioratura and other bel canto skills.
