Event Description:
Our 2021 TN NATS Chapter Fall Event will focus on SPIRITUALS! The event will occur over two days on October 22 & 23, 2021 at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. Our event will feature three fabulous, prominent presenters - Ollie Watts Davis, Randye Jones, and Casey Robards. All events will take place at the Martin Center for the Arts at ETSU.
Friday schedule:
7:30 pm - Concert and Lecture: "Toward Justice and Shared Humanity: Art Song of Black Americans as Lens, Language, Vision, and Hope" with Question and Response period after with Ollie Watts Davis, soprano, and Casey Robards, piano
Saturday Schedule:
8:30-9:15am - Students/Teachers’ Registration
9:15-10:30am Session 1 - Master Class I with Ollie Watts Davis
10:45 – 12pm Session 2 – Spirituals Lecture with Randye Jones
12-1:30pm - Luncheon Meeting
1:30-2:45pm Session 3 - Master Class II with Casey Robards
3-4pm Session 4 – Professional Development Session for Teachers with Randye Jones
