- Founded on March 23, 1944, the National Association of Teachers of Singing celebrates its 75th anniversary during the 2019 calendar year. The first official publication of the association, then called The Bulletin, was first published in October of the same year. In commemoration of that seminal event, Journal of Singing Editor in Chief Richard Sjoerdsma has structured the September/October issue of the publication as an Anniversary Issue, replete with vintage articles from giants in the history of NATS.
