Employer Profile

“Modern choral music... masterfully,” has served as the motto, and mission, throughout the Master Singers of Virginia's twenty-seven year musical journey, which has positioned the ensemble as the premier a cappella choir in Northern Virginia. Traditionally, the MSVA has had a particular focus on 20th/21st century choral music in a variety of traditional and specialized settings. In addition, the ensemble has collaborated with the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Greater Washington, and smaller ensembles of professional musicians to occasionally present larger works. Currently, the group is comprised of thirty-two volunteer singers who join through an audition process. Many of the current singers have studied music at the collegiate level and hold music education or performance degrees. The ensemble rehearses from 7-9:30pm on Sunday evenings in Ashburn from September to mid-May and concert sets are presented in December, March, and May.
