Bio: Polish born American soprano, Aneta Augustyn is an active performer and a recitalist throughout Southern California and the East Coast. She specializes in Classical and Bel Canto style of singing. Her artistic triumphs include: Tosca, Mimi from La Bohème; Violetta from La Traviata; Pamina and the First Lady from the Magic Flute, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Marie in La fille du regiment, and Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, covered Countess Almaviva from Le nozze di Figaro, and performed Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi. Aneta’s solo concert appearances include: Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Coronation Mass, and Vivaldi’s Gloria performed with a chamber orchestra at the Holy Family Cathedral, Mozart’s Mass in c; Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana as well as Mozart’s Exsultate, Jubilate K. 165 with a Boston University string sextet. Her professional credits include: Riverside Lyric Opera, Musco Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall, California Philharmonics, Redlands Opera Theatre, Riverside Lyric Opera, Repertory Opera Company, Opera Royale, Opera Providence of Rhode Island, Opera Nova, Opera Pacific, Tusia Operafestival in Viterbo, Italy, Opera in the Ozarks and Long Beach Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Augustyn has trained with renowned vocal coaches, directors and teachers, including: Valery Ryvkin, Yelena Kurdina, Joan Dornemann of the Metropolitan Opera, Henri Venanzi of Arizona Opera and Opera Pacific, Nocola Bowie, Maria Spacagna, Shigemi Matsumoto as well as Maestro Enrique Arturo. Ms. Augustyn also took part in Masterclasses featuring: Simon Estes, Phyllis Curtin, Ken Cazan, Elizabeth Futral, Suzanna Guzman, Larissa Gergieva an Artistic Director of the Mariinsky Academy of Young Artist in Moscow, Russia, Claude Corbais, Frederica Von State, Horst Günter and Julius Rudel. She received prestigious awards, honors and recognitions from: the Gerda Lissner International Vocal Competition, the Bel Canto Vocal Scholarship Foundation Competition. First place Winner for the Sigma Alpha Iota Vocal Competition, a top price award winner from the Young Musician Foundation, a Léni Fé Bland Music Scholarship Competition winner, a recognition from the Metropolitan Council Opera Auditions as well as an honorary recognition from Placido Domingo as a finalist for the Los Angeles Opera Young Artist Program and was named The Best Female Young Artist at the Opera in the Ozarks. Aneta specializes in cantorial music and has sung for the Diocese of Orange since 1996 and San Bernardino Diocesan Diocese as well. She maintains a private vocal and piano studio working with beginning and intermediate level students providing fundamental music knowledge and vocal training to all levels and ages. As a Director and a sole proprietor of the Artistic Adventures Studio, she teaches fine art at the Banning Art Gallery as well as The Beaumont Community Center. She earned a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from Boston University, a Bachelor’s degree in Opera Performance from California State University Long Beach and an Associate degree in Music from Santa Ana College.
