Bio: JACKIE MARAYA GRIFFIN was born and raised in San Diego, California and is a proud 1st generation Filipina-American. She is a former Broadway performer turned Mother of 3 and autism advocate. During her years performing, she was a member for AEA (Actors Equity Association) and SAG-E. A few of Jackie’s credits include Miss Saigon (German Company) The Wiz (La Jolla Playhouse) The King & I (Tuptim - multiple regional productions) and was honored to be in the last cast to work with the original creative team of RENT (National Tour - Mimi, Alexi, Dance Captain). Blessed to have shared the stage and worked with incredible Broadway veterans & Tony winners like Micheal Grief, Des Macnuff, David Alan Grier, Titus Burgess, Nicky James, Manu Narayan, Ivan Hernandez and Alan Green. Momager to the Griffin Ohana, Jackie has also done on-camera work and can be seen in ABC’s hit series LOST and numerous commercials and print ads alongside her husband and 2 industry kids, Koa & Hoku. She is the owner of Jackie Maraya Griffin Voice Studio and has been a vocal coach and singing teacher for over 20 years. Her passion is nuturing the next generation of performing artists! Many of her students have gone on to becoming professional performers and vocal teachers themselves. Her students are currently seen in The Voice, Disney Channel & on Broadway National and International Tours. Jackie has taught musical directed musical theatre shows, conducted vocal master classes and adjudicated shows and talent competitions all over in San Diego & Gerogia (SDMT, SCPA, UCSD, BSD, SHULERS, SD SINGS, SING Pilipinas) In 2019, she was honored as an outstanding professional for her contributions to the AAPI Arts Community with a TOP HAT by the Phil Am BID.
